Annual Membership Meeting
On January 23 Quincy 2000 Collaborative had their Annual Membership Meeting. Held at the Best Western Adams Inn, over 175 people were in attendence. Mayor Tom Koch was the Key-Note speaker and expressed some of his goals and objectives for 2008. Ed Keohane, President of Keohane Funeral Homes was elected president of Quincy 2000 for 2008 and Peter Racicot was thanked for his service as president in 2007. The event also featured the unveiling of 3 new DVDs set to promote the City of Quincy. The first peice shown focused on Economic Development and the second and third focused on tourism. Quincy Exchange Business Expo a SUCCESS!!!
Businesses, Government Agencies and Restaurants showcase all that Quincy has to offer!
On Tuesday, October 30, 2007, Quincy 2000 Collaborative organized an event to showcase some of the many products and services that are available here in Quincy. We would like to thank all of those who participated in this years Quincy Exchange Business Expo, and made it such a success. This year we featured over 50 local businesses & government exhibitors, as well as 16 restaurants! For over 4 hours, the Neighborhood Club was bustling with activity as businesses networked with other businesses, and the general public.
QPD Boat Ride through the Fore River Basin
The Quincy Police Department's Marine Unit and Community Policing Unit sponsored a Boat Ride around the Fore River Basin to Quincy Point Businesses.
Tech Council Hosts Free QuickBooks Workshop
The Quincy Tech Council and Quincy College sponsored a Free QuickBooks Workshop held at Presidents Place. A certified QuickBooks Professional CPA from Kesner, Godes & Morrissey, LLC was on hand to answer questions as well as a professor from Quincy College.
Tech Council Networking Event at Waterclub
The Quincy Tech Council
was Organized to assist businesses and other system and network engineers improve productivity and reduce costs through the use of technology, it consists of IT professionals with the proven skills to provide efficient solutions to technology issues. An advisory committee of Quincy 2000 Collaborative, the QTC offers workshops, seminars, informational bulletins and one-on-one counseling programs. They held a Networking Kick Off at Waterclub in Marina Bay.
