With a convenient “T”
Red Line station, extensive coastline, and easy access to Boston,
the Wollaston section of Quincy has always been a desirable place
to live. The nationally famous Howard Johnson’s was founded
in Wollaston.
This densely populated neighborhood sustains a vibrant and popular
business district and is home to some industrial development in
sections close to the Red Line. Shops are concentrated on Beale
Street and along Hancock Street. The proliferation of restaurants,
personal and professional service businesses is testimony to the
strength of the market they serve.
Eastern Nazarene
College,
the city’s only private higher education institution is located
here. With over 1200 students and faculty, the college community
looks to local businesses for many of its needs.
Wollaston is a focal point of daily shopping for residents, employees
and students. Whether it is groceries, banking, lunch or a cup of
coffee, it’s all conveniently available in Wollaston. Accounting,
travel, catering, cleaning, florist, contracting and lodging services
are all there, too.
After an extensive shoreline improvement project, Wollaston Beach
has renewed its draw as a regional attraction with its variety of
small seafood restaurants and other venues.

“I see the value of Quincy 2000 in various
ways, but three specific reasons come to mind immediately. The
first is the opportunity to market my services by networking with
other business owners in the city of Quincy. Just as important
is the channel to develop business contacts and meet executives
through the organization. Lastly, it’s a chance for me to
volunteer and to offer my expertise to help other businesses and
individuals in Quincy, a way to give back
to the community,” said Peter Barbadoro, president
of FireSmart.

"Since
1919, Eastern Nazarene College has proudly called Quincy
home, so that now we are part of the very fabric of this
vibrant community. As Quincy’s only four year, liberal
arts college, ENC offers over 60 majors in a wide variety
of academic disciplines. Nestled in the Wollaston section
of the city, ENC enjoys the best of both worlds: easy
access to the world class city of Boston with all of its
cultural and educational opportunities while living in
a quiet, safe residential neighborhood. In addition, we
find that the dynamic multicultural diversity of Quincy
is a great fit for our increasingly diverse student body.
Quincy is a great place to be!"
Eastern Nazarene
College

Eastern Nazarene College is a fully accredited traditional
liberal arts college. It has approximately 1200 students
distributed across a traditional residential undergraduate
program, adult studies and graduate program.
